When the Adaplink service installation has been completed the admin user is automatically created.
Log into Adaplink with the admin user to create additional specific AdapLink users for each actual AdapLink user.
In the Navigator window start the User Management application in the COMMON folder.
Before progressing considers what AdapLink tasks that should be shared across groups of AdapLink users and which would be specific to individual users.
We will first create Permission Groups to make management of common tasks easier.
Select Premission Groups and click the Add button.
Set the Enable box, click Insert and then Back to User Management.
Select the Permission group and click the Assign Permissions button.
First select the Remote File Sync permissions and click the Configure button.
For each server directory indicate whether Download should be allowed or denied and whether upload should be allowed or denied. Then click Save button.
Then switch to Model Type Processing and click the Configure button.
For each processing group indicate whether the Permission Group should be able to see the Processing Group, Change/Write the processing group and/or Execute the processing group.
Click Save and Back to User management.
Repeat these steps to create and configure additional required user groups.
After setting up the required permission groups follow the instructions for How do I create a new AdapLink user? for user creation.
Before setting up users ensure that relevant permission groups have been created.
If groups have not been created then go back to the section Create permission groups.
Log into AdapLink using the admin account,
open the User Management application,
select Users from the dropdown,
click the Fetch button and
finally click Add button.
Fill in the user information and give the user an initial password (or leave the password unassigned).
Then click Insert and Back to User Management.
Select the new user and click Assign Permissions.
Assign the relevant permission groups from the Available Groups section and assign them to the user by clicking the <-- button.
The click Save and Back to User Management.
Finally close down the User Management application.
