Process Execution Application (.rmtyp)ΒΆ

The Process Execution application is the AdapLink users launch-pad for running processes (see Processing Groups). The AdapLink client can hold multiple Process Exection applications. Each Process Exection application can be used to launch Processing Groups associated with a single model type, in any number of scenarios. In scenarios where multiple Model Types have been configured there should always be at least one Process Execution application for each Model type.

The Process Execution application is configured through an XML file (see Process Execution Installation). A Process Execution application can through the XML configuration be configured to allow the user to enter parameter values that will be passed to specific steps in the executing Processing Groups, yet users will only be promted to enter the values if the processing groups that are to be launced actually contain the associated step index.

The Process Exection application enables the AdapLink user to either run processes interactively or to schedule them to run at a later time in background. Once a process has beeing either launched or is scheduled to be launced it can be monitored in the Process monitor application (see Process Monitor application).

Process Execution application(s) are stored on the Adaplink server and synchronized with the users AdapLink client during logon (see Process Execution Installation).
