Companies running SAP® face unique integration and data management challenges due to the very rich but also highly complex SAP® functionality and data structures. AdapChain® continues to work hard at making integration with SAP® reliable, scalable and easy to implement. As part of this effort AdapChain® has developed essential functionality specifically for SAP® integration based on SAP® BAPIs.

  • The AdapLink PlannerTM highlights SAP® Certified integration to SAP ERP through AdapLinkTM. The simple scenario demonstrates demand and supply planning based on MS Excel integrated to SAP® ECC 6. While the certification is specific to the AdapLink PlannerTM application integrated through AdapLinkTM 6.0, it is not hard to see how the demand and supply planning information could be sourced from one of our partners supply chain planning applications or from some other platform.

  • AdapLink ObjectsTM have been designed to mirror key SAP® objects like materials, orders and partners as they exist and evolve within SAP®. The functionality associated with AdapLinkTM objects is unique partly due to the very comprehensive yet intuitive representation of the underlying SAP object, and partly because AdapLink Objects are delta-capable. When an object changes in SAP, AdapLinkTM detects the change and re-extracts only the modified object. This delta-capability is critical in ensuring that AdapLink ObjectsTM can scale with very large SAP installations and still maintain a near real-time representation of the underlying SAP objects.

  • Calling SAP® BAPIs from AdapLinkTM has been greatly simplified through the integration of BAPIs with AdapLink's “Structured Object Type”(SOT) functionality. By exposing BAPIs as SOTs they become directly reference-able in AdapLink's rules engine and rules editor. This ensures that development on new SAP® integration scenarios is greatly simplified.
